Some time ago, Tim N., an autistic Dutch
boy of 7 in 2005, told his mother that he had lived before. He had
lived in Germany. He tried to save a young girl, but both were killed in
the process. He recalled his former mother and described her as a 'very
nice person'. Tim stressed that his present mother was 'also very
sweet', but the previous mother seemed to be even more special. He
called his former life "the first world" and his present life "the
second world". He told his mum that he had chosen her for "the second
world". Both his parents were very surprised by his remarks as they
seemed to deal with emotional subjects, whereas for Tim emotions are
generally hard to understand.
